This review is from: Penn Squall Star 6+1 Bearings 6.0:1 17/240 Line Capacity Drag Reel (Sports) I'm off to Mexico for five months on the beach and looking forward to some serious fishing. The new Squall-15 is a heck of a reel to take along. I haven't had a casting reel (used spinning reels) for years and have they improved. The reel is everything they advertised. Its action is smooth, precise and consistent. The 'free spool' feature for long casts is innovative and smoother than anything I have seen in the past. I read a lot about the Mag525, it's predecessor which is held in high regard by surf fishermen, in making my purchase decision and found that this is their new model. The improvements on the Squall-15 should make it that much better.
