President 6920 spin reel, January 20, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pflueger President Spinning Reel (Sports) This reel instantly became my favorite tiny ultra light reel. I own 3 brands about this size and I think the new style President is the best on the market in this very small size. I have some larger ultra light reels that I like as well, but I've not seen anything in the 6920's 5.9 oz. weight range that comes close. The new style handle knob is very well designed, providing a nice non-slip grip in just the right size. I've always liked Presidents, and I believe this new version is an improvement over the last version. Except for one thing-this new model doesn't come with a spare spool! The reel foot has been changed and the new ones are lighter. Drags are very smooth and strong, even in the smallest size 6920. Highly recommended. If you can find these marked down in price they are a great bargain. Of all the spinning reels I've used, I consider these, and one other brand, to be by far the best buys at their price point. They beat out some more expensive reels in performance.
Nice spinning real!, January 17, 2012 This review is from: Pflueger President Spinning Reel (Sports) After a lot of online research, I decided to purchase 3 of these reals to go with 6' Diawa Spinmatic Pack Rods. This setup is for trout fishing in mountain lakes while camping. I haven't had a chance to put line on and test cast yet, but all three reals are beautifully made, have very smooth operation and the bails take a firm turn to close for dependable casting.
